Installation of a New Deburring Machine

In the sheet metal processing industry, the finishing operations of cut parts are becoming an increasingly important service. In fact, there are numerous requests from customers across various sectors for edge rounding and surface cleaning of components.

When parts undergo hot-dip galvanizing or painting processes, it is sometimes necessary to carry out thorough cleaning and edge smoothing to ensure optimal adhesion of these treatments to the sheet metal, thereby guaranteeing greater durability over time.

With this in mind, Tomatis Lamiere has decided to invest in a new deburring machine in order to meet these requirements and offer a more complete service to its customers.

Equipped with three processing stations, the machine can handle parts up to 1350 mm in width and performs both burr removal and edge rounding operations.

Installation of the new folding machine Schroeder

In the beginning of December 2024 a new technology joined our production fleet: the PowerBend Industrial by Schroeder!

This innovative metal folding machine improves bending operations especially in case of large panels and high physical effort from the operators.

The front flat table makes it possible for the user to manipulate the parts easily, and the rear system is capable of bending in both directions (up and down) without having to turn the part.

The aim of this new investment is to focus on medium and thin thicknesses and to streamline the bending process on pieces with complicated sections in carbon steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium.

In addition to this machinery, our company also purchased a zero gravity balancer, in order to simplify the handling of large parts, and to reduce physical stress for the operators.
